Annotation: Bella Swam moves away from her mother to live with her estranged father. Then she meets a mysterious boy at school who helps ease her loneliness.

Book Talk: Bella finds herself feeling isolated after she moves to Fork, Washington to live with her dad. She was not planning to fall in love with that elusive, handsome boy in school. Yet, Bella felt such a powerful connection towards Edward, and besides; he's so beautiful. Unfortunately, he is also a vampire.

Bella Swan:

"About three things I was absolutely positive:

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was part of him -and I didn’t know how potent that part might be

-that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."
